We believe:
- That we are all human.
- That we are all unique, and yet what we have in common is greater than what sets us apart.
- That we are all entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that the only cure for the mistakes of the past is to strive for a future where everyone enjoys these rights to the greatest extent.
- That race is a social construct, not a biological or anthropological one, and that it is a bad construct, which cannot be turned to good ends.
- That racism is the misguided belief that a person is superior or inferior, or more or less deserving, because of race.
- That racism harms, no matter the source.
- That it is not possible to be racist “against” a particular group; all racism is a crime against the whole of humanity.
- That there is no “reverse racism”; the idea that racism comes in “forward” and “reverse” flavors is, itself, inextricably rooted in racism.
- That we need to teach our children to recognize greatness in everyone and to emulate that greatness, not to look for role models who are “like them”.
- That justice is justice.
- That justice is for all.
- That justice is not the flavor of the week.
- That “social” and “racial” are privative adjectives when applied to justice, just as much as “mob” is.
- That holding a person responsible for another person's actions, over which they have no control, is injustice.
- That the facts of our history do not need to be erased or altered in an attempt "protect" anyone from them, but instead must be preserved and learned from. Those who fail to learn from history doom not only themselves.
- That wrong thought can be met with education, and wrong speech can be met with argument or with forgiveness, but an attempt to deprive others of the freedom of speech or freedom of thought constitutes violence, and may be met with violence.
- That the most prominent groups of our day, while claiming to “combat racism”, are steeped in racist thinking to such an extent that they actually promote and perpetuate racism, wittingly or otherwise.
A quarter century ago, racism was on the run. It wasn't dead, but very few people would dare make overtly racist statements in public. Today, it is all but mandatory. We've regressed catastrophically, dangerously, and it's due to the efforts of a few and their desire for “combat”. We reject the arguments and the methods of the self-styled “anti-racists”.
We believe in unracism, for the sake of all humanity, and for the sake of our humanity.
